After the aspirants of the post of General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have expressed their support for another candidate to withdraw their candidacy, Manish Jha has responded that there should be no light politics. Jha, who is a candidate for the post of General Secretary, gave a brief response to reporters and said, 'Whatever the outcome, my candidacy is still there.'
Stating that he himself was the first to announce his candidacy for the post of General Secretary, he said, 'You should not do such light politics. You filed your candidacy last night, you withdrew it today. Those who have the courage to do strong politics keep fighting, whatever the outcome is. There is no politics of thinking after receiving such and such a call. I am the one who will be the candidate for the post of General Secretary.' 
The candidates for the post of General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Kavindra Burlakoti, Ganesh Parajuli and Pramod Neupane have decided to withdraw their candidacy and support Bipin Acharya.
Talking to journalists at the ongoing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) general convention in Chitwan, they announced that they would support Acharya. Acharya is the outgoing joint general secretary. Announcing the withdrawal of candidacy, Parajuli said that Jagadish Kharel, Shishir Khanal and others have decided to support Acharya. Rajunath Pandey has also withdrawn his candidacy. Now, the competition for the post of general secretary will be between Manish Jha, Ranju Darshana, Ganesh Karki, Sagar Dhakal and Bipin Kumar Acharya.
