The candidates for the post of General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Kavindra Burlakoti, Ganesh Parajuli and Pramod Neupane have decided to withdraw their candidacy and support Bipin Acharya.

Talking to journalists at the ongoing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) general convention in Chitwan, they announced that they would support Acharya. Acharya is the outgoing joint general secretary. Announcing the withdrawal of candidacy, Parajuli said that Jagadish Kharel, Shishir Khanal and others have decided to support Acharya. Rajunath Pandey has also withdrawn his candidacy. Now, the competition for the post of general secretary will be between Manish Jha, Ranju Darshana, Ganesh Karki, Sagar Dhakal and Bipin Kumar Acharya.
