The initial list of 384 candidates for 99 posts was made public. After the list was made public, the number of candidates has decreased by more than 10 after the investigation of claims and objections against the candidates, cancellation of candidacies and withdrawals, informed Bhuwan KC, head of the RSVP Election Commission.
According to the update till 11 pm, discussions are underway to make the final list public.
The RSVP statute provides for the election of the RSVP president and 99 central members in the first phase. Information on how many of them withdrew their candidacies and how many were rejected has not been made public.
