UML has objected to the government's arrest of party Vice-Chairman Bishnu Poudel, saying it was an insult. The party's parliamentary party meeting held at the party headquarters in Chyasal on Tuesday took this decision, informed Ain Bahadur Mahar, Chief Whip of the House of Representatives Parliamentary Party. Mahar said that the party has also concluded that Poudel's arrest is unjust and against the rule of law. 'The way CPN-UML Vice-Chairman and former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, who was arrested in a non-political, unjust and vindictive manner from Surkhet just yesterday, was arrested in a humiliating manner, he has a PSO, he is in contact and in the news of the state. He was coming to Kathmandu today. Knowing that, the state brought him to Kathmandu overnight through public transport in a way that caused suffering, this is unjust and illegal. This is against the rule of law and the rule of law. The UML parliamentary party has strongly opposed and condemned this arrest. It has also demanded his immediate and unconditional release,' he said. Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli also addressed the meeting.
