Poudel said that although Lamichhane expressed his expectation of a ”broad and in-depth discussion” in his own political report, this has not happened in practice.

Ramesh Poudel, a central member of the National Independent Party (NISP), has criticized the party president Ravi Lamichhane for not being able to discuss his political report at the general convention.
He said that the report was passed in a gap of about seven seconds, and that it deserves to be registered in the 'Guinness Book of World Records'.
Congratulating Lamichhane on being elected unopposed as the president at the first general convention on Tuesday through social media, Poudel said that although Lamichhane had expressed the expectation of 'extensive and in-depth discussion' on his own political report, this did not happen in practice.
‘There was only about seven seconds between you finishing reading the report and calling on the hall to pass the report,’ he wrote. ‘In this regard, the ‘deep discussion’ held by 4,200 representatives in just seven seconds automatically qualifies for registration in the Guinness Book of World Records.’
Poudel also urged the party to develop a culture of discussion, stating that he wanted to fulfill another expectation that Lamichhane would receive constructive suggestions and comments on the decisions and actions mentioned in the report. ‘In this term, succeed in developing a culture of comprehensive, deep and meaningful discussion on important documents, policies and issues of the party,’ he wrote.
