There has been some delay in the start of the closed session on the second day of the general convention of the National Independent Party (NISP). Although the closed session was scheduled to begin at 8:30 am, it has not started until 10:30 am.
The general convention representatives have started gathering at the Chitwan Industry Association Exhibition Center for the closed session. However, the work of arranging the chairs inside is underway.
NISP spokesperson Manish Jha told Kantipur that it took time to arrange the administrative process. He said, ‘It just took time to get together, it will start at 11 am.’
NISP President Ravi Lamichhane is scheduled to present a political report in the closed session. Other leaders will also present various reports and proposals. At the beginning of the closed session, Ramakant Rimal is scheduled to present a report from the Disciplinary Commission.
Immediately after, Treasurer Lima Adhikari will present the party's financial report and there will be a discussion on it. Party General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti will present the organizational report and Joint General Secretary Bipin Acharya will present the report of the Statute Amendment Committee.
Deputy Chairman Swarnim Wagle, who is also the Finance Minister, is also scheduled to present the economic and political proposal.
