Other political parties have suggested that the ruling Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) party, which is holding its first general convention, should adopt a policy that maintains geopolitical balance and respects different views. While wishing the party well at the inaugural ceremony of the general convention on Sunday, leaders of various parties also urged it to remain steadfast in democracy, federal republic and the rule of law. 

Leaders of Congress, UML, CPN (Maoist), Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal and Janmat Party had wished the party well at the general convention of the RSS. They stressed the need to protect the achievements made in various past movements. They also suggested that the RSS should strengthen internal unity, citing the example of parties that had strong public opinion in the past facing difficulties due to internal problems. 

Congress President Gagan Thapa suggested not to forget democracy, rule of law and social justice. 'Democracy, rule of law, inclusiveness and social justice are not just for adorning the constitution. These issues are well-integrated in the DNA of Nepali society. I believe that this general convention will not only clarify these basic beliefs of society, but will also resolve to advance these values ​​with mind, word and deed,' he said. 

He suggested the RSPB to learn from the history of the failure of parties including the Congress to utilize public opinion in the past. 'This public opinion of the RSPB is extraordinary, it is tempting. In the past, parties obtained similar public opinion three-four times. But each time it led to an accident. There was a clash between the egos of the leaders, a clash between individuals. Which led to the accident. Another thing, public opinion gave power but it was not understood that there are limits to power. It led to the frenzy of power, due to which we started behaving undemocratically. Which led to the accident. I wish. The RSPB does not have to face both these situations.'

Thapa had indicated that the Congress was unable to handle the public opinion in 048, 056, the Maoists in 064 and the NCP in 074. ‘When the parties that won the popular vote could not control themselves, they became the first victim party. Democracy was created. The victims of this became citizens. Our generation was wasted. Nepal should not have to bear this failure anymore. Therefore, let the success achieved by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) become one of stability.’

Congress President Thapa said that he would support the good work done by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) government and question its wrongdoings. ‘The Congress is a competitor of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), not an enemy. We point fingers where we should question, point fingers. We slap where we should slap,’ he said. ‘We raised our fingers when the country said that its borders had been crossed. But when Nepal said that it had not crossed the borders of any country and would not allow it to be crossed, we slapped it even louder than the RSS.’

Thapa urged the RSS representatives to ask questions to strengthen internal democracy. Noting that questions were raised late in the Congress, he suggested not to make such a mistake. ‘We should not stop asking questions within our own party. We have made mistakes by making our leaders God, we have made mistakes by making them father. You should not make mistakes. When you make mistakes, have the courage to question your own leaders,' he added, 'We should have said earlier that our party is not for slaves and corpses, but we could not. You should learn from that.'

Thapa also urged good governance by making democracy a mantra. 'Poverty and discrimination are our enemies. While the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is fighting against everyone, we will find the Congress with us,' he added.

UML leader Pradeep Gyawali has suggested that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) maintain geopolitical balance and move forward in the direction of protecting national interests. 'RSS President Ravi Lamichhane and Foreign Minister (Shishir Khanal) have returned from a visit to India. A country like Nepal, which has geopolitical complexities, has certainly experienced the complexity of protecting national interests within geopolitics, just as it is said to save seeds during a famine or save lives during a riot,' he said. 'It will be difficult for a small country like Nepal to bear the consequences of our small mistakes, expressions, and gestures.'

Leader Gyawali also said that some of the government's activities did not match the NCP's manifesto. 'The government's initial activities have raised questions. The Nepali people should be given answers to their questions through the general convention. Democracy is a system of checks and balances. If the judiciary, the President's Office, the Parliament, and the voice of criticism become weak, if there is opacity, it is natural that public opinion may not last forever,' he said. 'There have been some incidents that do not match the promises. Let us feel that Nepal's democracy is safe. There are brakes and accelerators in cars. I believe that we will move forward keeping in mind that even if we press the accelerator, accidents can happen.' Leader Barshaman Pun delivered the congratulatory message from NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the

ceremony. He mentioned Dahal's view that his party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have similarities on many issues. We have chosen a political path through continuity and disruption. We are getting closer to the agenda of social transformation,' Dahal said, 'We have similarities on the agenda of good governance. No one has collaborated as much as the NCP and the RSS on good governance.' Leader Pun urged the RSS-led government to take steps towards good governance in a lawful manner without going beyond the constitution. He also mentioned that there will be full support for the government's campaign to establish a stable situation. Urging not to be swayed by public opinion, he said, 'Therefore, we should learn humility from the majority and patience from the minority. It is an established democratic belief that numbers are temporary in a democracy, but democratic methods and systems should be permanent.'

Noting that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has achieved great success in a short political journey, leader Pun suggested that it be utilized. 'You have succeeded in gaining popularity in a short time. The participation of the youth has raised hope to a certain extent,' he said. 

Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai suggested that the RSSP President Ravi Lamichhane and Prime Minister Balendra Shah move forward together. 'The people around them and other forces can play with whether Ravi is big or small. Your unity is the only way to ensure five years. Talk to them again and again. My generation's friends have invented conspiracies and woven many kinds of plots,' he said. 'Unable to digest the Gen-G rebellion and the rise of the RSSP, many plots have been woven. There may be some truth in that, but it is not the main point.'

Bhattarai said that ideological clarity is necessary in the RSSP. 'Ideological clarity is needed. Basically, it is correct. There are some ambiguities. It would be better if they explained constitutional socialism a little,' he said, '(The government's) leadership should complete a five-year term. There should be political stability for 10-15 years. Ravi and Balendra should lead for 25, 30 years. There are different views in a multi-party democracy. Go ahead and integrate them.' He said that the government formed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) should quietly develop the 'silent bell stamp in the election'. 

RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden said that the country will be betrayed if the RSS lost the opportunity. 'In the past, limited political parties and their leaders were creating a looting system. The responsibility of institutionalizing the desire for change through elections has fallen to the RSS,' he said, 'If you miss the opportunity given by history, you, the party and the country will be betrayed. Fulfill the responsibility successfully.'

He said that the RSS also got the votes of those who want a king and urged them to make good use of it. 'Those who want a king in Nepal also have the votes. There are also people who voted because Balendra will bring a king,' he added, 'Let's do politics of consensus, not prohibition.'

Janata Samajwadi Party President Upendra Yadav urged the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to fulfill the responsibility of amending the constitution. 'Although there are important issues like federalism, republicanism, inclusiveness, secularism, it is incomplete,' he said, 'The historic responsibility has come to amend the constitution and remove distortions and inconsistencies.'

Janmat Party President CK Raut suggested that Prime Minister Shah rise above the problem and find a solution. 'The Prime Minister rises above the problem and finds a solution. The Prime Minister looks smart, dashing, stylish,' he said, 'One day the opposition may demand a bill to ban wearing black dresses.' He mentioned that he was present as a fellow traveler and supporter. 'This is not just a general convention, it is a festival of revolution,' he said, 'Let the country move forward for development. Never forget the dream of the martyrs of the movement from which you emerged.' 

We want to move towards citizen-centered democracy: Wagle 

RSVP Vice President Swarnim Wagle said that the RSVP wants to move towards citizen-centered democracy. He said that the RSVP is in favor of comprehensive development by moving forward on the path of liberal democracy.
'We have come to make Nepal win rather than defeat anyone. We have come not to fight the old generation, but to establish a new political culture,' he said, 'We want such a liberal democracy, where the government is formed through elections but the law and citizen supremacy keep the power dignified. Where the majority rules and the minority is also respected.'
