Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) spokesperson Manish Jha has said that he will contest for the post of General Secretary. In a conversation with reporters on Monday, he said that he will contest for the post of General Secretary. Although he was initially hesitant, he says that he is now mentally prepared.

'The way the media has discussed it, it has come with acceptance. The claims and expectations that are there can be taken as natural. I never expected to become the Prime Minister of this country or the party president. But I expect to go beyond the level of leadership I have achieved so far,' Jha said.

He also said that after entering politics, one should be ready to take on more challenges. 'The responsibility of the General Secretary is important in preparing for the party's next two elections and addressing the expectations of the country. I consider myself a suitable candidate for this post based on my ability, background, and the advice of my friends,' Jha said.

Describing the post of General Secretary as a great responsibility and risk, he said that he has decided to contest with the confidence that he can do justice to the post.

Although the goal is to complete all the programs of the general convention on the 9th, he also informed that it may be extended until the 10th due to the large number of delegates and the aspirations of many candidates.
