The election schedule for the selection of the central leadership under the first national general convention of the National Independent Party has been made public. The party's Central Election Commission made the schedule public on Saturday.
The preliminary list of general convention delegates has been published as per the schedule. Claims and objections against the delegates can be made until 9 am on Monday, while the final list will be made public by 10 am on the same day.
The Election Commission will start distributing forms for candidacy nominations from 1 pm on Monday, Asad. Candidacy registration will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on the same day. The preliminary list of candidates will be published at 6 pm. Claims and objections against candidates can be registered from 6 pm to 7 pm.
Similarly, the claims and objections will be investigated from 7 pm to 9 pm. The time limit for withdrawal of candidacy is 9:15 pm, while the final list of candidates will be made public at 11 pm, according to the Election Commission.
According to the election schedule, there will be a silence period from 7 am to 8:30 am on Asad 9. After that, voting for the posts of party president and central member will be held from 8:30 am to 3 pm. It is said that the counting of votes will begin two hours after the completion of the voting and the results will be made public.
