Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane has suggested that the main opposition Congress and UML resolve their internal disputes. He suggested that the national political parties resolve their problems as disputes within political parties can cause problems for the country. Lamichhane made the suggestion to the opposition parties while addressing the inaugural meeting of the party's first general convention in Chitwan on Sunday. 'In national politics, it is not only your party that is right, all parties in national politics should be good. There are some difficulties within Congress and UML somewhere or the other, and that difficulty is not only that party's, if the difficulties of that party are not resolved, it can become a problem for the entire country,' President Lamichhane said. 'I wish you all the best, resolve the difficulties within your parties. If the difficulties of not only your party but also other parties are resolved, the country will go on a good path.'

Chairman Lamichhane said that political parties should express a common commitment for the country. 'Before this, political parties became competitors. We are not allowed to compete,' he said.

Chairman Lamichhane also said that personal animosity between political parties and leaders should not remain private. 'We should not live with animosity, but become politicians who move forward with a big heart,' he said. Chairman Lamichhane said that for the sake of history, we should move forward by abandoning party animosity.
