RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden has said that the country will be betrayed if the people miss the opportunity given to the RPP party. Giving a congratulatory speech at the ongoing RPP general convention in Chitwan, he urged people to make good use of this opportunity.
‘In the past, a limited number of political parties and their leaders were creating loot and plunder. We had advocated that change was necessary. The institutional responsibility for the desire for change through elections has fallen on the RPP,’ he said, ‘The opportunity given by history will never come again in the life of the party and the individual. If you miss this opportunity, you will be betraying the party and the country. Fulfill your responsibility successfully.’
He said that the RPP has got the votes of those who want a king. ‘Those who want a king in Nepal also have the votes. There are also people who voted because Walendra will bring in a king,' he added, 'If we say that others did it right yesterday, we will also do it right, the people will be disappointed. Let's not do prohibition, but politics of consensus.'
