Members who have not paid their dues will not be allowed to participate in the first national convention of the Nepali Congress. General Secretary Kavindra Burlakoti informed that the meeting of the Nepali Congress Secretariat held on Thursday decided not to allow members who have not paid their dues to enter the convention.
Delegates participating in the convention must have paid their dues as per their old positions. He also urged members who have not paid their dues to pay them immediately.
According to General Secretary Burlakoti, it is estimated that around 2,500 to 3,000 delegates will participate in the convention. He also informed that arrangements have been made for each district committee to send one person and each provincial committee to send three observers.
He said that 170 delegates from more than 38 countries will participate in the convention. He also informed that the presidents and chairpersons of other political parties will be invited to deliver congratulatory speeches at the opening ceremony of the general convention.
