Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has said that the government is committed to increasing investment in the education sector. Minister Pokharel claimed that the government has set a goal to increase investment in the education and health sectors and that the necessary arrangements have been made in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year accordingly.

Minister Pokharel, while answering questions raised by lawmakers on the topic of his ministry's appropriation in the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, clarified that the necessary budget has been allocated to invest in digital education right from school education. Minister Pokharel said that budget has been allocated for the management of smart boards right from the school level, activities related to foundation learning to increase learning achievement at the basic level, and for developing the capacity of education.

'In line with the current government's commitment to make significant investments in education and health, investment in education will be increased in the upcoming fiscal year. Budget has been allocated for the management of smart boards right from the school level, activities related to foundation learning to increase learning achievement at the basic level, and for developing the capacity of education.' "10.45 billion 24.04 million has been allocated for school infrastructure for the coming year," he said. Minister Pokharel also drew the attention of the lawmakers to the fact that capital expenditure in the education sector will be reduced.
