The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is going to hold the general convention election through electronic voting. General Secretary Kavindra Burlakoti informed that preparations are being made to hold the election using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). He informed that the process of quotation and agreement required for that is underway.

He said that when using EVMs, the voting and counting of votes can be completed in about 6-7 hours. He informed that the decision to use EVMs was taken because the process that takes two days using the traditional method will be completed in a shorter time and the travel expenses of the delegates will also be reduced.

The secretariat meeting also discussed the issue of amending the party statute. The secretariat has prepared a proposal to increase the central committee. According to the current proposal, the party's central committee will have 151 members and the chairmen of the provincial committees will be ex-officio members, informed General Secretary Burlakoti.
