Opposition party Shram Sanskriti Party MPs have surrounded the well in the House of Representatives. On Wednesday, while discussions were underway on the appropriation of various ministries under the Appropriation Bill, MPs including party chairman Hakraj Rai surrounded the well.
Meanwhile, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has warned the party MPs that they were acting recklessly without the Speaker's order. Shram Sanskriti MPs had protested by standing up after Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari did not answer their questions about the ministry-wise budget.
After the Speaker refused to respond to her repeated requests, the party MPs including Rai surrounded the well. "Honorable members, it is the duty of all honorable members to follow the Speaker's orders. I warn the honorable members of the Shram Sanskriti Party to follow their duty," he said.
Opposition parties have been protesting in Parliament demanding that Prime Minister Balendra Shah correct his border-related remarks.
