Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma has made public a seven-point proposal sent to leaders of the disgruntled faction to maintain unity within the party. Sharma made it public on Jestha 16 after no response was received for 16 days on the proposal sent via WhatsApp on Jestha 16.
The proposal titled 'Let's all grow together like this' has urged the party to move forward with consensus, cooperation and unity until the 15th General Convention, putting aside the disputes seen after the special general convention.
The first point of the proposal states that the party will move forward unitedly, forgetting the issues of dispute, accepting the special general convention, the Election Commission's update and the final decision of the Supreme Court. However, it has been proposed that disagreements over the process and results of the special general convention can be raised as a political agenda in the closed session of the 15th General Convention.
Similarly, the proposal mentions that no member will be treated discriminatoryly based on whether or not they participated in the special general convention, that the active membership update will be completed within the stipulated time, and that ambiguities related to it will be clarified moving forward.
The establishment party has also proposed giving senior leaders a respectful role as 'senior leaders', including leaders who are or are not in the central committee in responsibilities, and ensuring respectful participation in the performance committee.
Similarly, the proposal also includes ensuring the participation of all parties in the election committee, disciplinary committee, and active membership management committee to be formed for the 15th general convention, forming a general convention management committee, and assigning responsibilities according to qualifications and desires in fraternal and benevolent organizations.
