Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) MP Bipin Kumar Acharya has said that the tradition of MPs speaking, not listening to the government and people shouting but not listening to the system should end.
During the zero hour of the House of Representatives on Thursday, MP Acharya expressed dissatisfaction over the non-implementation of the issues raised by MPs during the zero hour and commented that ‘zero hour’ should be called ‘black hole time’.
‘If what we say during this zero hour is heard, noted and goes into the implementation process, then let’s call it full time, not zero hour. If the people’s pain, MPs’ questions and national issues are to be reduced to zero, then let’s call it black hole time, not zero hour,’ he said.
MP Acharya also urged that the issues raised during the zero hour should not be limited to records. ‘Those issues should be sent to the concerned ministry immediately, and the progress of implementation should be informed to the MPs within a certain time. This tradition of not listening to the government when MPs speak, and not listening to the people when they cry, must end now. This time is not zero, it should be a full time for the people's voice,' he said. In the meeting, he said that zero time should be a full time for the people's voice.
