Congress parliamentary party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has questioned the sanity of lawmakers who applauded Prime Minister Balendra Shah for saying that Nepal has crossed the border with India. Angdembe, who spoke immediately after Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal gave an explanation in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, has been aggressive towards the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) lawmakers.
He also questioned whether there is freedom of expression within the RSS. Angdembe said, 'Those lips, which are sealed with the tape of power, could not speak for the truth, did not rise up.' The majority of lawmakers in Nepal's parliament have accepted that Nepal has crossed the border with India. I don't want to ask whether you slept at night or not after clapping 181 hands in support. I don't want to ask whether you ate or not.'
Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has clarified that the statement made by Prime Minister Balendra Shah in the House of Representatives on Jestha 17 was related to cross-border occupation and encroachment of ten-gaja areas.
Foreign Minister Khanal clarified the Prime Minister's statement in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday. He also said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has clarified this. Clarifying the statement made by Prime Minister Shah in the House of Representatives meeting on Jestha 17, Foreign Minister Khanal said, 'The statement made by the Honorable Prime Minister is related to cross-border occupation and encroachment of ten-gaja areas in some places.'
