The Janmat Party has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Balendra Shah, urging him to immediately implement past agreements. Janmat submitted the memorandum to the Prime Minister through Kathmandu Chief District Officer Ishwor Raj Poudel. Party General Secretary Chandan Singh and other leaders had reached the place to submit the memorandum.
The memorandum urges the government to implement the remaining work as per the 22-point, 8-point and 11-point agreements made by the Nepal government during the Madhesh, Tharuhat and 'Swaraj Andolan' movements. Similarly, Janmat has also urged the release of those who were arrested and jailed during the political movement and the withdrawal of the cases. Similarly, Janmat also demands the immediate publication of the Lal Commission report.
Janmat has also urged for the implementation of inclusiveness in security agencies including the Nepali Army. Chairman CK Raut has demanded the immediate start of group recruitment of youth to make the participation of Madhesi-Tharu-Muslims in security agencies including the Nepali Army proportional and inclusive.
Similarly, Janmat has demanded to create an environment of dialogue without arresting and suppressing the protesters participating in the ongoing resistance and movement in Madhesh.
Today, Janmat has also held a demonstration at Maitighar Mandal. During the demonstration, Chairman Chandrakant (CK) Raut has said that there is a conspiracy to form a government with the strength of Madhesh but not to give them authority. He said that no matter what governance system comes to Nepal, it will be lenient towards the demands of Madhesh.
