Sita Parajuli has been elected as the president of the National Independent Party (NISP) Arghakhanchi. Parajuli won by a margin of 12 votes, beating her nearest competitor Dinesh Sunar. She secured 91 votes, while Sunar secured 79 votes. Another competitor, Mahendra Kunwar, secured 33 votes.

Parajuli was previously a leader of the Nepali Congress. She was a district member of the Nepali Congress after serving as a district member of the Nepali Congress, Tarun Dal, and Nepal Mahila Sangh. She joined the NISP two years ago. Parajuli, who has been doing business in Kathmandu, is active in various social organizations including the Red Cross.

Sahay BC won the post of vice-president by securing 116 votes. Her competitor Kamal Marasini secured 84 votes. Similarly, Chiran Sunar won the post of secretary by securing 150 votes. His competitor Yagya Poudel secured 43 votes. Laxman Bhattarai was elected unopposed as joint-secretary.

Bedraj Ghimire, Pitambar Sejwal and Churamani Dhungana were elected as members. There were 11 candidates for the post of member. Rama Poudel was elected as a female member.
