The district convention of the National Independent Party (NISP) is scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday. The NISP has set two days for the district convention. The NISP has approved the lower committees of the party for the convention of 36 districts on Saturday and 25 districts on Sunday.

According to NISP Deputy Chief Election Commission Ram Gurung, there is a plan to hold conventions in 16 districts in the next phase. He informed that the convention could not be held on time in some districts due to the lack of completion of ward and local level conventions. 'The plan is to hold them later as the criteria for district conventions as prescribed by the statute have not been met in Himalayas and other districts,' he said. Gurung informed that representation from those districts will be ensured in the party general convention.
On Saturday, June 23, the conventions of Jhapa, Tehrathum, Morang, Taplejung, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Okhaldhunga, Sunsari, Rautahat, Mahottari, Dolakha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nuwakot, Makwanpur, Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Sindhuli, Syangja, Kaski, Parbat, Baglung, and Myagdi will be held. On the same day, the district conventions of Gulmi, Nawalparasi, Palpa, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Rolpa, Kalikot, Salyan, Baitadi, Bajhang, and Darchula will be concluded.
Approval has been given to 25 districts to hold district conventions on Sunday, Jestha 24. On this day, district conventions of Udayapur, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Siraha, Chitwan, Lalitpur, Tanahun, Nawalpur, Gorkha, Lamjung, Arghakhanchi, Rupandehi, Rupandehi, Pyuthan, Surkhet, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum, Mugu, Jumla, Achham, Doti, Dadeldhura, Kailali, Kanchanpur and Bajura will be held to elect new leadership.
The RSSP will hold a provincial convention after the district convention. The first national general convention of the RSSP is being held in Chitwan from Asad 7 to 9.
