Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has said that there will be a dialogue with India on all the issues that are currently raised . Foreign Minister Khanal, who left for a three-day official visit to India on Friday, gave a brief response to the media at the Tribhuvan International Airport and said that all the priority issues will be discussed .

'A high-level official bilateral visit is taking place after a long time . After the formation of a new government in the country, we will have a dialogue on our priorities,' he said .  When asked by a media person whether he would raise the issue of the border or not , he said, 'I will not be specific . Of course, we will have a dialogue on all the issues that are currently raised . A new government has come . We will have a dialogue on all the issues that are currently raised .'

Foreign Minister Khanal is on a visit to India at the invitation of Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar . The ministry has stated that the meeting will discuss issues of mutual interest, trade, investment, 'connectivity', energy and 'people-to-people' relations. Foreign Minister Khanal is scheduled to return home on Sunday.

This will be Khanal's first official foreign visit as Foreign Minister. Earlier, he had participated in the 9th Indian Ocean Conference held in Mauritius. During that, he had met his Indian counterpart Jaishankar and some other leaders. In Mauritius, Khanal and Jaishankar discussed the issue of taking Nepal-India relations forward in the changed environment. It was also agreed to discuss the priorities of the new government of Nepal in detail in Kathmandu.

Jaishankar had proposed to send Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to Kathmandu to communicate with the new government and understand its priorities. However, Misri's visit was postponed after Prime Minister Balendra Shah refused to meet him citing 'protocol' reasons.

Meanwhile, ruling party Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane, who reached New Delhi last Monday, is returning home on Friday after completing high-level meetings. President Lamichhane met BJP President Nitin Naveen, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Home Minister Amit Shah and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
