UML resolves to reorganize party organization from center to ward level

UML has called on voters who changed their votes in the House of Representatives elections to become active in the party again.
The two-day workshop that ended in Kathmandu on Thursday passed a resolution and urged voters who changed their votes in the Falgun House of Representatives elections to rejoin the party.
‘We call on voters who changed their votes in the last House of Representatives elections to become active in the party again,’ the resolution passed states that membership renewal will be accelerated, ‘This workshop announces that the work of online renewal of the party’s organized membership will be carried out immediately in the direct presence of the concerned person.’
The workshop was attended by 77 district chairmen, secretaries, provincial chairmen, secretaries, heads of the organization departments, and others. Discussions were held to speed up the organization by dividing it into 11 groups.
The team leaders emphasized the need to change the party’s policies according to the times, improve the working style of the leaders, and bridge the broken relationship with the people. The workshop resolved that an organized member of the party will prepare at least 3 new party members. Similarly, it has also resolved to transform party life into a digital revolution, to immediately complete the work of membership renewal and to revive the entire party from the village to the ward, municipality, district, and province by expressing its active presence in the revolution of science and technology and the use of social media.
The gathering has also committed to reorganizing the organizational structure of the party. ‘It expresses its commitment to make the party-affiliated mass organizations the leader organizations of their community issues and to provide the necessary coordination to reorganize them organizationally from the center to the base,’ the resolution passed states. ‘It announces that all committees will organize a conference of children of party-affiliated families by organizing an inter-generational dialogue program with the new generation.’
The workshop has resolved to mobilize the Central Liaison Coordination Committee and its subordinate structures with high importance and operate the party work in the geography and the valley more effectively.
Each committee has decided to use various online and social media channels to keep the migrant committee in touch, and the local committees have also decided to form groups of the youth in the migrant sector and keep them in touch.
The team leaders at the workshop were Krishna Jaisi from the Far West, Narayan Silwal from the capital, Nawaraj Sharma from Gandaki, Radhakrishna Kandel from Lumbini, Gulab Jung Shah from Karnali, Chandreshwor Mandal from Madhesh Province, Dhanshyam Khatiwada from Koshi Province, Dawa Dorji Lama from the Bagmati Province group, Ashok Thakuri from the Contact Coordination and Maharaj Gurung from the Public Organization Group. Based on the suggestions given by them, the resolution proposal has been passed.
On Wednesday, while inaugurating the workshop, Oli had warned that there would be no change in the party leadership and that action would be taken against those who demanded it.
