The Central Disciplinary Committee of the Nepali Congress has suspended Bara District President Rajesh Rai Yadav. It has been decided to suspend him from the post until a final decision is made on the charges of playing a role in defeating the party's official candidate in the House of Representatives elections on 21 Falgun.

It has also decided to warn 3 provincial assembly members from Sarlahi on the basis of clarification.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the party's central office, BP Smriti Bhawan, Lalitpur on Thursday under the coordination of committee coordinator Taraman Gurung. The committee has said that Yadav has not responded to repeated requests for clarification and that the investigation is being affected, and has decided to suspend him from the post of Bara District President.

The meeting has also concluded that a final decision should be reached after further investigation into the disciplinary violation against Yadav.

Meanwhile, three provincial assembly members from Sarlahi-2, Shakunti Devi Mahara, Kaushal Kishore Rai and Jangilal Rai, have been instructed to remain vigilant and not to file complaints after the clarification on the charge of non-cooperation against the party candidate.

All three had submitted written clarifications denying the charges against them. The disciplinary committee has taken their answers as a basis and directed them to remain fully committed to the party's statute and rules without taking any immediate action.

Similarly, the committee has acquitted them in the complaint against Bara district deputy chairman Amirilal Raut (Pal). After initial clarification and further investigation, the committee has concluded that Raut's answer was satisfactory and no further action is required against him.
