Kapa UML President KP Sharma Oli has said that the democratic forces and the UML have suffered a major setback after the unexpected results of the election. He said this while speaking at a two-day workshop that began in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

‘Our party has suffered a setback after the unexpected results of the election, the democratic forces have suffered a setback. This program is being held at a time when national identity has been seriously damaged,’ he said, ‘The election results have dealt a very serious blow to our party and democratic forces, and the patriotic campaign.’

The program was attended by central members, provincial chairmen and secretaries, heads of central departments, all district chairmen and secretaries.

Oli is wearing white at the workshop being held at a party palace in Babarmahal. He has been wearing white since his father passed away.

He was arrested on Chaitra 14 and released on 26 on charges of human rights violations during the Gen-G movement. He then underwent surgery for gallstones. After the surgery, he was recuperating in Gundu, Bhaktapur.
