Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane left for New Delhi on Monday afternoon for a visit to India. This is President Lamichhane's first official visit to India after the formation of the government under the leadership of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The visiting team includes Lamichhane's wife Nikita Poudel, Joint General Secretary Bipin Acharya, and Secretariat members Deepak Bohara and Pradeep Acharya. The visit of the ruling party chief is being viewed with special interest and importance in political circles. Although it is said that President Lamichhane will hold a high-level meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the visit, neither party has been officially informed about it. In a press release issued by the Indian ruling party BJP on Sunday, it is mentioned that President Lamichhane will meet the party's national president Nitin Naveen and other top leaders. The press release also mentions that Lamichhane's visit is being made at the invitation of President Naveen. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had also issued a press release on Sunday, formally informing about President Lamichhane's visit. The press release issued by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) spokesperson Manish Jha stated that Lamichhane will participate in a high-level meeting in Delhi. Jha also said that the Nepali Embassy in Delhi is coordinating for the high-level meeting. Lamichhane is also scheduled to visit Ayodhya as a personal visit. He will also participate in the program of the Pravasi Nepali Sampark, Manch in Delhi. A reception program for Lamichhane has been scheduled for 3 pm on the 21st at the Lajpat Bhavan Auditorium in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi.
