Shram Sanskriti Party MP Aren Rai has said that Nepal has not encroached on the land of any country. On Sunday, in response to his question, Prime Minister Balendra Shah had said that 'not only India, but also Nepal has encroached on India's land in many places.' The opposition is obstructing the parliament due to this statement.
On Monday, MP Rai said that he felt ashamed for even asking the question. 'Speaker, if I had known that, I would not have asked that question. I feel ashamed for asking that question today,' he said.
Rai said that the Prime Minister should come to the rostrum of the Parliament and apologize. 'It is not only a matter of removing that statement of the Honorable Prime Minister from the record, but such a precedent has been established in history. If your Prime Minister says tomorrow that our land has been encroached upon, and he says to return it, then which land will he return, Speaker?' he said.
