The Nepali Congress Central Policy, Research and Training Foundation has formed seven thematic subcommittees on Thursday. As per the decision of the foundation's meeting held on Wednesday, subcommittees focusing on various policy and social issues have been formed and coordinators have been appointed.
According to which, Govinda Raj Pokharel has been appointed as the coordinator of the subcommittee on economic planning and party policy, vision and planning. The subcommittee will work on issues related to the private sector, stock market, insurance, cooperatives and the entire financial sector.
Similarly, Roshni Giri has been selected as the coordinator of the climate change awareness subcommittee. The subcommittee will work on issues ranging from minimizing the impact on the Himalayas to environmental protection campaigns.
Min Bahadur Bham has been appointed as the coordinator of the youth sentiment, issues and intergenerational dialogue and coordination subcommittee. The subcommittee has been given the responsibility of communicating and coordinating from the generation before Gen-G to the 'alpha' generation and the enlightened levels of civil society.
Mahendra Yadav has been appointed as the coordinator of the subcommittee on labor policy and justice in the informal sector and Umang Lohani as the coordinator of the child rights subcommittee. The child rights subcommittee has been appointed to work on issues ranging from child labor to overall child welfare protection campaigns.
Gopal Prasad Pokharel has been appointed as the coordinator of the public service delivery, policy and strategy dialogue subcommittee and Anju Jha has been appointed as the coordinator of the NGO policy dialogue and coordination subcommittee.
