UML has once again raised questions about why Prime Minister Balendra Shah did not come to Parliament. In the House of Representatives meeting held on Tuesday, UML Chief Whip Ain Bahadur Mahar accused the Prime Minister of trying to stay away from Parliament. 'Why is the government and its leader, which have received so much public opinion, so nervous about Parliament? Why are they trying to deceive Parliament?' he asked. Accusing the Prime Minister of being irresponsible towards Parliament, he said that the government is moving against the Constitution and parliamentary practice. He mentioned that the government is violating the spirit of Article 76(10) and Article 81 of the Constitution. 'Why is the government and its leader, which have received so much public opinion, so nervous about Parliament? Why are they trying to deceive Parliament?' Today, this is a common question of the general public and all those represented in Parliament,' said Mahar.
Stating that the Prime Minister has not come to Parliament even once and answered anything, he said, 'He has no response to this, no respect. The practices that exist have been refuted. Now, work is being done to create a distance between the executive and the President. This is also a serious violation of the Constitution.
He also said that the Prime Minister is ignoring many things in the Parliament Rules.
'Is Prime Minister Balendra Shah going to be worshipped by making a skull and ringing bells? Is he trying to establish a Balen regime by destroying democracy? Is he trying to establish a Balen regime by destroying the Constitution?,' he said.
