Opposition party CPN (UML) MP Rajendra Kumar Rai has warned that he will not allow the parliament session to resume if the government does not take concrete steps to control the monkey terror within a week.

Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Thursday, MP Rai said that monkeys have caused great hardship to the people and said that the government should be serious about controlling them.

‘If someone commits mischief, the police will tie him up. He will be put in jail. Today, monkeys have uprooted hundreds of people,’ he said, ‘Hundreds of people have not been able to eat pulses, rice, and vegetables. Why is the government not serious about this? I would like to say that among the many things this government is doing, the monkeys are the biggest problem in the lives of the people. If this monkey cannot be controlled, there will be a big problem in the transformation of people’s lives. Therefore, I would like to draw the attention of this government to solve this monkey problem immediately. If the monkey problem is not resolved within seven days, how will it be resolved? Whether it is legal or through any other means, if the government does not control it, all MPs will talk about it, and it will be difficult for the parliament to function.'

MP Rai said that the government should not hesitate to take any step to free citizens from the terror of monkeys.
