Ruling party Rashtrapati Bhavan President Ravi Lamichhane has said that Prime Minister Balendra Shah will be present in the parliament meeting.

While talking to media persons in the Parliament building premises, President Lamichhane said that the Prime Minister will attend the meeting, but did not reveal when. “There is no question that he will not come to Parliament, he will come,” he said.

On Thursday, Speaker DP Aryal had taken the House forward while opposition parties were protesting and raising slogans, including well gheraoing, demanding the implementation of the House of Representatives rules.

In the Thursday meeting of the House of Representatives, the main opposition Congress was protesting from its seat and other opposition parties, including UML, CPN, Shram Sankrit and RPP, were protesting well gheraoing. Speaker Aryal passed the bill.

Opposition party leaders have said that Speaker Aryal acted as the government told him to, without ruling on Prime Minister Balendra Shah to answer the MPs as per Rule 56 of the House of Representatives Rules.
