As soon as the meeting began, members of the party, including its chairman Harkaraj Rai, stood up from their seats and showed 'play cards' opposing the government, when they were stopped by the dignity guard. Drawing attention to the party's protest, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal said that the style of protesting in the House by showing leaflets was against parliamentary practice and dignity.
Speaker Aryal ordered that such protests should not be held in the future. The Shram Sanskriti Party had boycotted the previous meeting on Baisakh 13 after Prime Minister Balendra Shah was not present to respond to the issues raised during the discussion on the policies and programs of the Nepal government.
Today's meeting has the agenda of reshuffling the members of the Business Advisory Committee, submitting the report of the House of Representatives Rules Drafting Committee, and discussing the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill for the upcoming fiscal year
