The Central Policy, Research and Training Institute of the Nepali Congress has formed 12 subcommittees focusing on various contemporary and policy issues.

The meeting held at the party central office B.P. Smriti Bhawan under the chairmanship of the head of the institute and party vice-president Bishwaprakash Sharma decided to form subcommittees to work on issues such as land management, disaster management, mental health, digital good governance, electoral system reform, infrastructure development, education, entrepreneurship, etc.

The meeting has given the coordination of the Land Management Special Campaign Subcommittee to Gopal Dahit. The subcommittee aims to prepare a common vision for a long-term solution to squatters and unorganized settlements.

Similarly, Man Bahadur Thapa has been made the coordinator of the Disaster Management Subcommittee, Mohana Ansari the coordinator of the Mental Health Awareness Campaign Subcommittee, and Engineer Dipesh Bista the coordinator of the Information, Technology and Digital Good Governance Subcommittee.

The concept, dialogue and coordination subcommittee on electoral system reform will be coordinated by Janak Chataut, while the responsibility of the infrastructure development concept, dialogue and vision subcommittee has been given to Engineer Amrit Gyawali. The subcommittee is said to make suggestions on the necessary policies and plans to improve the capital budget expenditure system and increase the pace of infrastructure construction.

Similarly, Khagendra Acharya has been made the coordinator of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Employment subcommittee, Dr. Krishna Prasad Poudel the coordinator of the Education and Schools Policy and Vision subcommittee, and Prakash Lamichhane the coordinator of the BP Knowledge Center subcommittee. The BP Knowledge Center subcommittee aims to re-manage the central library damaged by the fire and develop it as a 'BP Thought School'.

The meeting has appointed Eliza Dhakal as the coordinator of the awareness campaign against caste discrimination, Prakriti Bhattarai as the coordinator of the digital awareness and fact-checking subcommittee, and Kanchan Jha as the coordinator of the 'Green Table' subcommittee. The 'Green Table' subcommittee will coordinate regular dialogues at the central office on policy and contemporary issues.

All subcommittees have been instructed to submit preliminary work plans in the upcoming meeting. Meanwhile, the foundation has also decided to form a five-member committee under the coordination of Deputy Chief Madhu Acharya to formulate an internal code of conduct.
