No matter how much majority we get, it will not go beyond the constitutional limits. We need results from democracy.

Congress President Gagan Thapa has said that he will not compromise with anyone regarding the self-respect and fundamental rights of citizens.
At the general assembly of the Democratic Thought Society of Nepal, Thapa reminded that the constitution gives every citizen the right to live with dignity and said that the Congress will always stand clearly on the issue of civil rights.
He accused the government of thwarting civil rights and using bulldozers in squatter settlements.
'There is no leader greater than any institution. No government is above criticism. No matter how much majority it gets, it is not above the constitutional perimeter. We need results from democracy. Good governance should be done properly. Along with this, the rights of citizens should also be protected. This is what I understand in the context of using bulldozers in squatter settlements,' he said.
He said that the Congress will always continue to fight from the streets and the House to protect democracy, the constitution and civil rights.
