The government has announced that it will amend the constitution in collaboration with political parties.
President Ram Chandra Poudel gave this information while presenting the policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year in the federal parliament. He informed that the government is working hard to prepare a debate paper on the constitution amendment, which is in the government's policy and program. The government has also included it in its policy and program while the work is being done by forming a debate paper task force under the leadership of Prime Minister Balendra Shah's advisor Asim Shah.
It has been said that the constitution amendment debate paper will be prepared by identifying common issues for the constitution amendment based on dialogue and collaboration with political parties to ensure equal belonging of all classes, regions and communities. The government had also included this in its 100 points. The task force has taken its work forward.
