Labor Culture Party Chairman and House of Representatives member Harkaraj Rai has said that Prime Minister Balendra Sah should resign as the government has created state terror against the squatters. Rai, who arrived in Diktel on Thursday, said that the government should resign on moral grounds as it has violated human rights and made thousands homeless.
He said that the government should immediately stop using dozers as it has made thousands of people homeless by making excuses and the United Nations has also condemned this. "The act of making people homeless and sleeping on the streets in violation of international law, violating human rights, and against humanity is condemnable," Rai said while talking to reporters. "Balendra, who is leading the government, should resign."
Rai also said that the government should work on peace, security, good governance, and development, but instead it has created state terror. Since the Labor Culture Party is an opposition party, Rai also said that he would strongly criticize the government.
Rai, who came to Khotang to unveil the 110-foot-tall Yalambar statue in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-14 Buipa, has decided not to unveil it after a controversy. Rai said that he came to the district to thank the voters as the parliament is not functioning at the moment and he did not come to his home district after the elections.
