Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has assured to take initiative to resolve the problems of the squatters. Meeting with the victims of the demolished squatter settlements in the Kathmandu Valley on Thursday, Bhattarai suggested registering the names of the displaced and moving forward through legal processes for proper management of the displaced. ‘We are all citizens and everyone has equal rights. No injustice should be allowed to anyone,’ Bhattarai said, ‘You submit your details and evidence, we will support you in finding a solution to the problem through legal means.’
Bhattarai, who had reached to inquire about the latest situation and problems of the squatters, had complained about the suffering and administrative indifference they had faced from various state bodies.
