The Nepali Communist Party has demanded an immediate meeting of the parliament.

The meeting of the Central Coordination Committee that ended on Tuesday urged the government to convene a budget session. The NCP has passed a timely resolution and opposed the government's ordinance.

'This meeting, opposing the government's undemocratic act of deceiving the parliament by abruptly suspending the parliament session it had called and advancing the ordinance, demands an immediate meeting of the parliament,' said a statement issued by NCP spokesperson Prakash Jwala. 'It also draws the government's attention to addressing the voices of stakeholders in the formulation of laws including federal civil service, school education, etc.'
