The Supreme Court has dismissed a writ petition filed by advocate Ayush Badal on Tuesday, seeking the suspension of National Independent Party President Ravi Lamichhane from his position as an MP. The petition was filed by Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Koirala. The writ petition claimed that Lamichhane, who is facing money laundering and organized crime cases, should be suspended from his position as an MP and should not be allowed to participate in the meetings of the House of Representatives. The writ petition demands an interim order to suspend Lamichhane, who is participating in the parliament meeting. The petitioner is preparing to file an application in the court on Wednesday.
