The opposition party meeting has decided to send Bharat Khadka of the Nepali Congress to the post of Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee. The meeting of the Nepali Congress, UML and NCP held at the Congress Parliamentary Party meeting in Singha Durbar has finalized Khadka's candidacy and registered his nomination. He had won the House of Representatives election on 21 Falgun from Doti. The ruling party Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has finalized the names of 11 candidates for the post of Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had decided to give the post of Chairman of the Accounts Committee to the main opposition party, the Nepali Congress. The deadline for registering candidates for the post of Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee has been set for 4 pm today. There are 16 parliamentary committees in the federal parliament. There are 10 committees under the House of Representatives and 4 committees under the National Assembly. Two are joint committees.
