The Nepali Communist Party has said that the ban on mass organizations and trade unions is unacceptable.

Party leader Jagannath Khatiwada said this while talking to media persons after the meeting of the Central Work Adjustment Committee. He said that it is wrong to ban youth and student organizations and to suppress the rights of trade unions. He warned that the party will take to the streets against this.

He said, ‘It is wrong to ban mass organizations, especially youth and student organizations, in colleges and to suppress the rights of trade unions. We stand firmly against this.’

Leader Khatiwada informed that in-depth discussions are being held in the meeting about the contemporary political situation, the new government’s policy and the party’s future action plan. In this meeting, which is being held for only a few hours daily due to various work commitments, about 43 members of the 45-member Central Work Adjustment Committee have already expressed their views.

According to leader Khatiwada, the meeting also discussed the adjustment of all party committees and the future policy of the unified party. The next meeting has been scheduled for April 30 as time is needed for the New Year and internal homework.
