Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Deepak Kumar Sah is set to step down in 14 days. Prime Minister Balendra Shah is set to remove Minister Sah after he was embroiled in various controversies.

Meanwhile, news was published that Junu Shrestha was appointed to the Health Insurance Board with the help of Minister Sah. However, the Prime Minister's Secretariat has stated that formal information will be given along with the reason for Sah's removal from the ministerial post. The Secretariat has also stated that a new Labor Minister may be appointed today.

'A decision to remove the Labor Minister is being made today as various issues are arising regarding him,' the Prime Minister's Secretariat informed. Sah is the winning MP from Mahottari-2 from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He defeated former Labor Minister Sharat Singh Bhandari.

Prime Minister Shah has also kept the Defense and Industry, Commerce and Supplies ministries with him.
