Prime Minister Balendra Shah has told the ambassadors and heads of various diplomatic missions in Nepal that his government is keen to further strengthen relations with the friendly countries they represent.

On the occasion of a group courtesy call organized at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shah stated that the Nepalese government attaches high importance to relations with all countries, is committed to strengthening partnerships based on trust and mutual benefit.

'Nepal has been following a balanced and pragmatic foreign policy. Our external relations are guided by the goal of shared prosperity,' he said, 'We express our heartfelt gratitude to all partners and friends for their continuous goodwill and support for the development and prosperity of Nepal.'

Prime Minister Shah emphasized that peace should be a common priority as the ongoing conflicts in the world affect ordinary citizens the most. Prime Minister Shah said that the Government of Nepal is committed to creating a conducive environment for investment, encouraging entrepreneurship and supporting sustainable development. Similarly, he also mentioned that the goal is to integrate Nepal more strongly into the regional and global economic structures in a manner that is in line with national interests.

'Having a new government does not mean a break from continuity. We are firmly committed to maintaining political stability and keeping the policy direction stable and predictable,' said Prime Minister Shah.

Prime Minister Shah said that the government is willing to take forward cooperation in various areas such as development, trade, investment, climate action and people-to-people relations. Similarly, he emphasized that the security and welfare of Nepali citizens abroad is the government's priority.
