Newly elected Vice President of the National Assembly, Leela Kumari Bhandari, has taken the oath of office and secrecy.
She took the oath of office and secrecy before Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal in the presence of President Ram Chandra Poudel at Sheetal Niwas on Tuesday. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Balendra Sah, Acting Chief Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal, and heads and representatives of missions in Nepal.
Earlier, the National Assembly meeting held on Monday had elected Bhandari unopposed as the Vice President of the National Assembly.
