House of Representatives member Mohammad Istiyak Rai has submitted a letter of attention to Prime Minister Balendra Shah raising various important issues for the overall development of Banke.
In a discussion with the lawmakers of Lumbini Province on Monday, House of Representatives member Rai said that he has submitted a 20-point plan covering health, education, infrastructure and overall development of Banke. 'I have urged to take the plan forward with priority for improvements in infrastructure, health, education and social sectors,' he said.

It has also been mentioned that emphasis should be placed on the production of technical manpower by upgrading Bheri Technical School.
In the social sector, it has been pointed out that various programs should be run to promote inter-religious tolerance and social unity, and religious places including temples, mosques, and monasteries should be promoted for the development of religious tourism. It has also been mentioned that programs are needed to control drug addiction and involve youth in sports and cultural activities. Similarly, it has been demanded that special programs be run to solve problems including fertilizer shortage in the long term, giving priority to the agricultural sector.
