It has been agreed that the post of Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly will be given to the CPN-UML.
The Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN and JSP Nepal reached an agreement on Sunday regarding the distribution of the Vice-Chairman and the chairmen of the four committees.
According to Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula, as per the agreement, UML will get the Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly.
Similarly, the Congress will get the chairmen of two parliamentary committees, while the CPN and JSP Nepal will get the chairmen of one committee each.
There are four committees in the National Assembly, namely Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance, Legislative Management, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation, and Strengthening Federalism and National Concerns.
Similarly, there will also be two joint committees, which will also include members of the House of Representatives.
