May no one ever shed blood again: Angdembe

”We are in the same place but with different beliefs and thoughts, but despite being different, we are in the same boat. If we sink, we all sink together, if we rise, we all rise together, the parties may be different, the country is one. Therefore, let us resolve to shed the sweat of faith today, and resolve that no one will ever have to shed blood again,” he said.

Main opposition party Congress leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has said that remembering the country's political history, we should resolve not to repeat violent conflicts.

Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, Angdembe also urged for a common commitment that no one should ever shed blood again in the coming days.

Recalling the movements and sacrifices made in various periods during the journey of nation-building, he stressed the need to instill new hope and faith in the people. He said that despite having different views and beliefs, everyone stands on the same ground.

Leader Angdembe urged everyone to resolve to 'sweat of faith', mentioning the need to rise above party differences and be honest towards the nation. 'We are in the same place but have different beliefs and views, but despite being different, we are in the same boat.' If we sink, we all sink together, if we rise, we all rise together, the parties may be different, the country is one. So let us resolve to shed the sweat of faith today, and resolve that no one will ever shed blood again,' he said.

Leader Angdembe said that it is necessary to break the narrative that nothing has happened in the past 35 years. He claimed that the country has developed even in adverse times including 10 years of armed conflict, earthquake, and Corona. He said that the parliamentary system is the best system.

He mentioned that even the forces attacking the parliamentary system are currently living in the parliament with decency. He mentioned that the Congress is committed to bringing the Gen-G rebellion to a conclusion. He says that the Congress is ready to change with the times.
