The UML parliamentary party leader is to be selected through an election. The election is to be held after UML Vice-President Ram Bahadur Thapa and MP Suhang Nembang claimed the post of parliamentary party leader.
Although a proposal was made to make Thapa the leader in the UML parliamentary party meeting, Suhang also said that he would file his candidacy against it. An MP said that an election is being held for the party leader after Thapa also did not withdraw his candidacy.
