The UML Central Secretariat meeting has decided to protest through the streets, parliament and legal channels.

After the meeting, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said that the arrest of Chairman KP Sharma Oli was illegal and vindictive and decided to protest through the parliament and streets. He said that they would move forward through the parliament, streets and legal channels.

‘We have decided to protest through parliament, streets,  law  and political channels against the illegal arrest of Chairman KP Oli,’ General Secretary Porkhel said, ‘The peaceful movement against the arrest of the Chairman has led to state terror by carrying out vindictive arrests. We sincerely request all political parties and civil society for a united protest.’

Similarly, the UML has decided to hold programs at the central, district and local levels on Chaitra 24. ‘The government has moved forward to create a confrontation and terror in the country. "I am confident that we will succeed in protecting democracy," Pokharel said.
