The central committee of the National Independent Party has unanimously passed the decision to make Balendra Shah the leader of the parliamentary party. Now, the parliamentary party meeting has approved it and Shah will be the leader of the parliamentary party.

The central committee meeting held at the party office of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party in Banasthali on Thursday also unanimously passed the proposal to form a parliamentary party. According to Rashtriya Swatantra Party spokesperson Manish Jha, the proposal made by President Rabi Lamichhane to select senior party leader Balendra Shah as the leader of the parliamentary party was unanimously passed by the central committee.

The meeting took the decision. Since there is a constitutional provision that a parliamentary party leader must be a member of the parliamentary party to become the Prime Minister, it has been approved in Shah's name.
