Rastriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane has warned that lawmakers will be recalled if they violate discipline. Lamichhane made this statement while addressing the conclusion of an orientation program organized for the party's lawmakers.
Stating that discipline is essential in the party, President Lamichhane said that lawmakers will be recalled from office if they violate discipline. Stating that the party has become big and is responsible for running the government, he said that every lawmaker should be disciplined. 'The government is becoming about two-thirds, the number will decrease, and it will fall into a minority, and the 'right to recall' provision provided in its statute since its inception will be strictly implemented this time,' he said.
Article 69 of the Rastriya Swatantra Party statute provides for the right to recall people's representatives. 'The ordinary members of the party's concerned constituency will have the right to recall their people's representatives if they do not do a satisfactory job.' According to the regulations made by the central committee, if the general members of the concerned area decide by a certain number or percentage, the party's central committee will initiate the process of revoking the post of the concerned people's representative,' the RSVP statute states, 'If the party's proportional people's representative acts against the party's interests or on the basis of performance evaluation or for other reasonable reasons, the central committee may recall him. The central committee will proceed with the process of revoking the post of the people's representative in accordance with the regulations.'
Chairman Lamichhane says that MPs will have freedom, but discipline must be maintained. He said that the circle between freedom and discipline should not be broken.
